Before they closed the zoo, there was a spot some friends and I found that lead from a parking lot, through the woods and around the back side of the zoo to the back of the lion cages where we could sit in the woods and watch the lions. Not sure how many people knew about this because of all the times we went back there, we never seen anyone and there was not really a trail leading to it. We found it only because we were looking for a place to drink and smoke in the woods to get away from the public.

Aw, wow! You've got a fancy narrator now? And interactive map? So high tech!! Great job! We were briefly in Detroit many years ago when our camper broke down coming back from cross country trip. I was scared because EVERY home off the interstate was boarded up where we had to stop. lol. They had the interstate shut down due to a huge football game that year, I think. Not a great memory, so I like your all's visit better. lol. It's crazy how a little bit over 100 years a place can completely change, especially after changes in industry. I'm so glad they're renovating places like that hotel.

We’re looking into one of those elevated beds. Does it help keep the air flowing underneath? Our dog likes to lie by my feet while traveling and it is really hot for him down there.
